Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 A legislative Order which replaces the Children and Young Persons Act (Northern Ireland) 1968. The following parts of the Order are most relevant to homelessness: Part IV imposes duties on Health and Social Services to support children in need and their families, and promote the welfare of children looked after by an authority. Part V covers care and supervision orders and child assessment orders. Parts VII to IX regulate children's homes.
