Brighter Futures' response to the report by the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) on homeless people with complex needs in Stoke-on-Trent. The paper highlights CRESR's recommendations for meeting the needs of three groups of homeless people (drug and alcohol users, women involved in street sex work and people with a history of violence or offending behaviour) and reports on changes made in Brighter Futures' schemes to meet them. Also contains Brighter Futures' own recommendations, including better administration of Housing Benefit by Stoke-on-Trent City Council, and the provision of counselling in hostels by Stoke NHS.
