Checklist of standards for day centres. The standards are grouped in sections covering five key requirements: accessibility (clarity about who the service is for and how it will help); a focus on change (effective triage and assessment, planned support, and monitoring of outcomes); working with service users as partners; working with local authorities, agencies and communities to deliver services; and providing effective management, training and support to staff and volunteers. The checklist comes with four levels of compliance to describe the extent to which a centre meets each of the standards. Centres wishing to publicise their commitment to, or compliance with, the standards, can apply to the London Housing Foundation for a Day Centre Standards logo.
