The Attitudes of Medical Students towards Homeless People: Does Medical School Make a Difference?

An article which looks at evidence that the attitudes of doctors can create barriers to health care for homeless people. Based on two surveys, it was found that medical students held more negative attitudes towards homeless people at the end of their undergraduate course than they did at the beginning of it. The paper concludes that medical schools may need to address this issue more directly in the curriculum if doctors are to treat all patients equally.
