Joint report by Homeless Link and Resource Information Service on support services for single homeless people and couples without dependent children in England. Survey covers direct access hostels and other accommodation projects, second stage supported accommodation providers, and day centres. Research based on data from Supporting People and Homeless UK, and telephone survey. Recommends joint work by agencies to improve data on homeless people's support needs and to provide a better understanding of the links between homelessness and offending, and better standards of homelessness service provision. Also makes recommendations for improved support from day centres and employment services, for clients with multiple needs, and for better access to rent deposit schemes.
