A report of research into the effect that benefits restrictions have had on the lives of asylum seekers. It follows the day-to-day existence of 15 asylum seekers over 3 months in Winter 1996 and shows their struggle to cope with living on basic support from local councils. Includes recommendations to improve the situation.
