As a part of Homeless Link’s Aiming High: Sports For All project, Groundswell has been conducting interviews with people experiencing homelessness on the subject of sport and physical exercise over the past three years. In this time the findings have mostly illustrated the very positive outcomes people experience from taking part in sports and exercise, with the work focused on exploring how to increase these outcomes by improving the quality and quantity of sport and exercise opportunities in the sector. Though it had never been a focus of our investigations, people have talked about or around the
feelings and emotions that they experience related to sport; while many of these could be seen as ‘positive’ feelings, with positive behavioural outcomes.
