Homeless Link is launching an annual award scheme to celebrate the best of the homelessness and supported housing sectors.
Celebrating the sector with the Homeless Link Excellence Awards
Our members are working under increasingly difficult circumstances to make a real difference for vulnerable people in our society. However, too often the sector and public discussion focus on the bad news – that homelessness is rising and provision is over-stretched. We rarely get an opportunity or take the time to recognise the impressive achievements of our diverse homelessness and supported housing services.
Homeless Link Excellence Awards
The London Homelessness Awards do a great job of celebrating organisations across the capital, but until now the rest of the country has missed out. We are excited to change this with the launch of the annual Homeless Link Excellence Awards, which will honour the success of services across six key categories with the help of a judging panel of knowledgeable third-sector professionals.
I believe this venture fits well with our role as a membership body, as it will help promote the sector as well as showcasing best practice approaches, which can lead to learning and improvements in the support offered to people experiencing homelessness or living in supported housing.
We would like to invite you to enter and potentially use the opportunity to raise your profile as an award-winning charity, demonstrate the impact you are having and reward your hardworking teams. We are offering a £500 prize fund for each winner and will announce the winners and runners-up at a special awards dinner at our annual conference on 3 July 2018.
The awards are open to any organisation that is a member of Homeless Link and we are taking entries from today until 5pm on Friday 4 May 2018. We look forward to receiving yours!
